At Tallie Wigs, every piece is crafted by hand with the finest human hair, and we want you to feel confident and cared for at every step. Because our wigs are luxury, made-to-order pieces worn directly against the scalp, they are held to strict hygiene and customization standards.

The policy below explains exactly how returns, exchanges, and refunds work, and, just as importantly, how we help you get the perfect fit the first time.

How We Help You Choose with Confidence

Most fit, style, or color questions are best solved before a wig is made or shipped. To help you get it right, we offer:

  • Personal consultations and guided virtual fittings, in person at our Los Angeles salon or by video from anywhere.
  • Expert help with style, color, cap construction, and measurements.
  • Cut, color, restyle, and repair services to fine-tune your wig after purchase.
  • Exchange and store-credit options on eligible items, so you stay covered.

If something is not quite right, please reach out before starting a return. Many concerns can be resolved with a simple adjustment, restyle, or exchange. Call or text us at 323.496.3229 or email info@sheitels.com, and we will do our best to make it right.

The Terms

Return Eligibility & Time Frame

  • Returns must be requested within 3 calendar days of confirmed delivery (weekends included).
  • To request a return, email info@sheitels.com (or call or text 323.496.3229) with your order number and reason. We will issue a Return Authorization. Returns sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.
  • Once approved, the item must be shipped back within 48 hours with tracking confirmation.
  • Any request or item received outside these windows will not be accepted.

Condition of Return

To be eligible, the wig must be returned brand new, unused, unaltered, and unworn. Specifically:

  1. It may be tried on briefly over a clean wig cap to check fit and look, but it must not be worn out, styled, washed, brushed excessively, cut, or colored.
  2. The lace must be uncut and untouched. Cutting the lace automatically voids all return eligibility.
  3. It must be returned in its original packaging with all tags, nets, stuffing, hygiene materials, and accessories intact.
  4. Any sign of odor, makeup, hair product, smoke, tampering, or wear makes the item ineligible.
  5. Tallie Wigs inspects every return and reserves the sole right to determine whether a wig has been altered or worn and whether it qualifies.
Final Sale

Non-Returnable Items & Services

The following are final sale and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged under any circumstance:

  • All custom and made-to-order wigs and sheitels, including cap-size alterations, ear-tab adjustments, added or removed hair, weft removals, custom color, and special measurements.
  • Any wig that has been cut, colored, thinned, washed, restyled, or altered in any way.
  • All services, including consultations, cut, color, thinning, wash, styling, hat fall conversions, and repairs, whether performed in house or externally.
  • Gift cards, promotional items, and sale or discounted wigs.

Medical and cranial-prosthesis purchases follow this same policy. A doctor's prescription or an insurance claim does not extend return eligibility. We are always glad to provide the documentation you need for your insurer or taxes.

Refunds

Refunds, Store Credit & Restocking

  • For approved returns of eligible, unaltered items, you may choose store credit or a refund to your original payment method.
  • A 25% restocking fee applies to refunds to the original payment method. This reflects the craftsmanship, handling, sanitizing, and re-inspection involved in a luxury piece. Choose store credit and we reduce the restocking fee to 10%.
  • Original shipping is non-refundable. Orders that shipped with free shipping will have $15 deducted to cover the original outbound cost.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
  • Once a wig has been customized, altered, or had its lace cut, it cannot be resold, is non-returnable, and no refund will be issued.
We Have You Covered

Damaged or Defective Items

  • Please inspect your order on arrival. Report any defect, damage, or order error within 3 calendar days of delivery, with clear photos, to info@sheitels.com.
  • For verified manufacturing defects, we will repair, replace, or exchange the item at our discretion. Many issues are fully repairable in our studio at no charge.
  • Defects do not include natural variation in hair texture or color, normal shedding, or any damage from wear, heat styling, cutting, coloring, or improper care.
  • Replacement or exchange items are final sale.
The Terms

Return Shipping & Risk of Loss

Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Please use a tracked and insured method. Until your return is received and inspected by us, the item remains your responsibility, and Tallie Wigs is not liable for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

Good to Know

Natural Variations & Screen Colors

Each wig is a handmade, natural-hair piece, so slight variations in color, density, wave, and length are normal and are part of its character. Colors may also appear differently on screens and under different lighting. These natural variations are not considered defects.

Agreement

Agreement, Disputes & Chargebacks

By placing an order with Tallie Wigs, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy. All returns, exchanges, and disputes are handled strictly according to these terms. Any chargeback initiated in violation of this policy will be disputed using documented evidence, including delivery records, product photographs, and customer communication. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California.
